Lazy Weekend
Every now and then we have one, and we had one this weekend.
On the Friday night we went out in Nottingham on the pop, as it was Pauls’ birthday, so we met with him and had a few beers too. Despite this, the Saturday was an early morning as we had to get to Loughborough to meet our friends Giv and Derek. We helped chop down (or was it dig up?) an old tree from Givs’ garden and uproot the remains of a shrub or something like that. Derek was extremely enthusiastic with the saw, particularly when it came to climbing up the tree and swinging about in it to break the branches off!
Our hard work was rewarded with excellent company and great food for lunch.
We then disappeared off to do the weekly shopping and then back home as Alison had an interested buyer for her car at long last. As it happens they weren’t interested in the car, but instead left us to watch the TV and slob out for the night.
On the Sunday Alisons sisters came across for a while, they were down in Nottingham for Pauls birthday and came to see us too. Jennifer mainly slept on the sofa and Sam went on the internet. Sam took her printer back that we’d borrowed for the wedding invites, it was really handy to have but it’s nice to have some space back again.
