Update: Job Interview

OK, just had the interviewshadycraig.blogspot.com and things did not go as well I had hoped.

For starters they are not looking for a Field Applications Engineer at all, they are looking for a Salesman. This was quite a problem for me. Although I have quite a bit of customer facing experience and dealt with some blue chips on a daily basis it was not in a sales capacity. So when they said “tell me about your sales experience” I was a bit short of words. Needless to say the interview went downhill from my point of view from that point onwards.
They went on to tell me about another role they might have, and I suspect this may have been the role they were really interviewing me for all along. It’s a software development role that they have had trouble filling. The role actually sounds really good so I gave it my all, even though this would mean five days in the office. Oh yes, and it’s not a one hour drive as I supposed, more like two (but I wasn’t late).
Well they interviewed me for both roles and I wait to hear the result. To be honest I’m not holding my breath, don’t get me wrong, neither of the roles are to be sneezed at but I’m not confident I’ll get the call.
I’m really disappointed that the role wasn’t what it was advertised to be, in fact, for from it.

Lucky for me I have more in the pipeline.
