As I wrote some time ago our broadband internet provider is no longer the best value on the market and since our minimum contract is about to be up, I’m looking at the alternatives.
ADSLGuide has been an invaluable tool: You can check ADSL internet providers by speed, by price and even by service. Using this I’ve narrowed down my search to a choice of three. Pipex (expensive), Freedom2Surf (cheap) or Prodigy (very cheap and very fast).
Click the link for a graphical chart showing service, speed etc: ADSLguide: Compare Service Providers.
At the moment Prodigy is looking good. Not only are they offering free migration and a generous 2Gb limit but also 2Gb downloads and all for £15.99 a month! The only thing that worries me is the service doesn’t seem too hot, but the minimum contract is only 30 days so it’s easy to swap if we don’t like it.
If you find an internet service provider that you think I might be interested in, or have comments on any of the above, please use the comments facility.
