U.K. budget targets first-time homebuyers with tax move
It goes without saying that this is great news for us! I almost cheered when I heard the news on the radio that the stamp duty threshold would be raised from £60,000 to £120,000.
This comes into force tomorrow and since we haven’t actually bought the house yet this will affect us. If all had gone to plan we may have been moved in by now, so maybe the delays arranging the mortgage have been worth it
