Shady Goings On

This post is aimed at my mate John who’s just recently start his own website, but it should apply to all newcomers and anyone thinking of setting up a website. You can see his site here.
Like most beginners, he’s using free hosting from his internet ISP, and he’s also using their free tools. This is a great way to start: not only is it risk free but it’s also simple to set up by using the tools.
Well here’s a simple guide that I hope will help all you budding webdesigners..!

David Appleyard - Blog & Portfolio » Flickr Wordpress Plugin Release
I’ve been looking for a wordpress plugin that will display my flickr.com photos for me and maybe some related ones, I think this will do the job!

As I’ve already hinted, we’re planning a trip to Australia in the coming months. We’ve already booked hotels and flights (I’ll tell you about that another day), and we’ve arranged to meet some friends over there too.
One small concern of mine is that this blog will look a little dead if I just stop posting for 3 weeks, and anyway I’m sure you’d love to know what I’m getting up to on holiday. The solution is to blog from my mobile phone by using MMS/GPRS, that way I can show you photos of what we’ve been doing and the highlights of our trip as well.
In the coming days I’ll be finding out about the operators in Australia and checking out their coverage, services and of course rates.

We arrived here saturday safe and sound, if a little weary, but definatly looking forward to the week ahead. The weather is fairly changable but it’s been really nice today, just as well as we’ve been playing pitch and putt.

We’re going to the local pub now for a few jars, check back later.

BBC- Coast walks
I was browsing the tv the other night with Alison and we found out that the Beeb are trying to get people off their arses and out a bit more. Subsequently they are running a series of walks around Britians coastal towns.
As it happens there is a walk at Great Yarmouth where we’re going on our holidays next week.
I’ve downloaded it to my phone (yes the beeb are hi-tech now) as an mp3 and we can take a wander one sunny day…
