As much as I like my car it can be embarassing because my coil-overs are quite squeaky! This seems to be a common problem but without many solutions.
After trying a few different remedies I tried GT85, it’s a silicone based luricant and so it doesn’t attack the rubber seals like oil will. It also leaves a thin film residue that prevents rust.
I actually find that the GT85 is perhaps a bit too thin as the squeak is slowly coming back, what I need is a heavier silicone lubricant: more like grease than a thin oil. Unfortunately my local shops only sell that type of product in an aerosol, which is pretty useless.
