Possible open unviversity course

I’ve been thinking about taking a course in PHP and MySQL just lately, however no local colleges offer a course like that, also most of the online ‘study at home’ course don’t offer a formal qualification at the end.
I’ve now found a suitable course at the Open University titled Open Source Development Tools. It’s quite steep at almost £200 but will be worth it in the long run and sounds very interesting anyway.
