Pipes and services through the tunnel
From GTM Workshop
All the services on the GTM Libra run through the tunnel under the car. Nothing is run through the driving compartment apart from the throttle cable. The two aluminium radiator pipes, the two heater pipes and the brake pipe are secured to the side of the tunnel using p-clips.
The two battery positive and negative are p clipped to the side of the tunnel. All other services are run through the tunnel and attached to these pipes using tie wraps. It is extremely impotent that this works is done neatly as the gear change and gear change rods run between the radiator pipes.
The radiator pipes, gear change rods and the clutch cable run under the petrol tank and all other services run through the tunnel and up over the petrol tank in the special channel provided in the monocoque.
Take particular attention to the area adjacent to the gear change lever and mechanism in the tunnel. All services at this point must be p clipped and tie wrapped close to the side of the tunnel. Anything loose in this area will rub against the side of the gear change when used and eventually fail.
When the car is completed with gear change somebody working with gear change have a good look under the tunnel to make sure that nothing is catching.
