While looking abut for Google Maps tools I found the WordPress plugin ItHappenedHere.
This plugin might be really helpfull in the initial development of the concept, and should help me get off the ground.

I thought I’d announce something I’ve been thinking about for some time, it’s just an idea at the moment but I hope to have something working before Christmas…

The idea is a community website where users can post and talk about there favourite places, or places they think are interesting. The places will be marked on a search/zoom/scroll map and clicking an icon will take you to the contributions (photos, discussion etc) about that particular place.

What do you think about the idea?
